"We absolutely loved our stay at Thalasa Cottage... it was very difficult to leave! The house is fantastically equipped and very clean... a huge selections of movies and games for those colder nights also! The view from the deck and the main bedroom was stunning, and you cannot beat a 2 minute walk to the lovely Skene's Creek beach. We will definitely be returning, hopefully sooner rather than later, I cannot say enough good things about this property!"

"The location was great - outside the main hustle & bustle of Apollo Bay but within a short drive. Friendly management and owners and enjoyable time had by all including our 2 dogs. Nice small beach within 2 mins walk & larger Apollo Bay beach easy drive. Highly recommend"

"The cottage was perfect for our two families with young children. It was very well equipped, even down to the amazing selection of games for young and old. The log fire made the weekend which was wet and windy. Did not matter in the least. Our four year old summed the weekend up by saying "Why are we leaving?""

"The weekend was perfect. My husband got a wonderful birthday surprise and the weather couldn’t have been better. We pretty much sat around eating, few drinks and lots of laughs while enjoying that magnificent view. I even got a swim in.
Everything that we needed was there. We had the master bedroom and waking up in the morning to the view was great.
The cockatoos and parrots enjoyed the feed. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
Once again, thank Sue and Steve for their wonderful home. I wish it was mine. If we are ever down that way again would definitely book the house again."

"This is the second time we stayed at Thalasa and both times were fantastic. The view from the main parts of the house is spectacular and the visiting birds are a highlight. The walks on offer around the property are also great and the beach, so close to the house, makes it near perfect. We love staying there."

"We spent a couple of relaxing days at the Thalasa cottage, the views are wonderful and any stress we had peeled away as we listened to the sounds of the ocean. We also enjoyed the open fireplace which was all set up for us on our arrival.

Even though the weather wasn't the best, it was still great to watch and hear the stormy waves crash onto the beach. We have for many years spent a week each January in the one rental home in Queenscliff with my very big extended family as my parents met there in 1947 (and were engaged three weeks later!). To find another home that felt so comfortable, was so well appointed, and so perfectly located, is wonderful. I hope we will be return patrons.

"Thalasa Cottage was lovely, had the most magnificent views of the rolling waves and out to sea, and being only a short stroll across from the beach made it like heaven for us. The cottage inside was very well kept had plenty of room for the 6 of us and being winter the open woodfire came in very handy. Being located in Skenes Creek was great as you're just far enough out of the rush and crowds of Apollo Bay but still close enough to make the walk into there for coffees, shopping etc, we will definitely be returning sometime in the near future"

"We had a great time at Thalasa Cottage,such a great position with uninterrupted views to the beach, close enough to Apollo Bay without being overrun with tourists as its neighbour. My dog especially enjoyed the freedom of being able to run all the way down to the beach without having to cross the road or be put on his leash. We found it great value for money, and the attention of proprietors excellent."

"My husband, my dog Duke and I had a fantastic time. We instantly felt like we were at home with a very cosy, welcoming and warm feeling almost as though we'd been there before! The view is great and gives you a feeling of instant calm. Modest yet clean & comfortable accommodation. The only trouble with our stay was that it wasn't long enough!!
We will most definitely be back there again and were actually hoping to book in for a week at Easter but unfortunately it appears that it is already booked (understandably)."

"Airy and comfy cottage really near the beach, which Tatu (the lab) enjoyed a lot, exhausted every night. It was relaxing to listen to the waves and we all had our batteries recharged after our little holiday. House has everything for a good holiday and if needed good restaurants are near by."

"We all had a fantastic break at Thalasa Cottage in November 2007. We have two Labrador pups (4 months old at the time) and they absolutely loved it - the proximity to the beach was great and all four of us spent hours each day playing in the surf!
We will definitely return and have recommended it to all our doggy owning friends.
The cottage had a lovely 'homely' feel and had all the amenities you could want - even bird seed for the hundreds of parrots!"

"Everything was great. Instructions for keys, directions, manual were all really helpful. We lacked for nothing - thanks for all the provisions. Appliances were great, bedding also. The cupboard full of CDs, games etc made all the difference as the weather wasn't too good. The latter made it such a relaxing holiday. Thanks for a fab time."

What a wonderful job you guys have done to create a HOME AWAY FROM HOME!! We were so comfy you almost had to evict us. The setting is perfect, and tranquil but not far from the civility of Apollo Bay. Our pooches were as relaxed as us and my baby girl (7mths) has never slept better, mind you she slept with us so cot was not needed!! Obviously the sound of the ocean and no traffic was pure bliss.
I booked this as gifts for my hubby's first fathers day and my brothers birthday and with success we all did nothing but relax, eat, sleep, fish and contemplated swimming.
We both work with the public so the word will be out there for others to enjoy your peaceful haven. Thanks again. We will be back."

"What a wonderful location for a mid winter break! Excellent accomodation - plenty of room for 7 of us (4 adults, 2 kids and a dog), cosy on the cool nights with the wood fire (& also electric heating, if we'd needed it), and lovely views a stones throw from the beach. Great, great job on the whole ambience of the cottage. We all loved the house and location, but the dog especially was chuffed with the whole beach, rockpools, creek walks experience because it was just so easy to do lots of it. And even if the weather had been too gloomy for lots of that, there was PLENTY of DVD's, videos, books, games to keep us entertained for weeks indoors (and still with the views of the beach!) Great service too - thanks Steve and Amanda for making things so easy for us. LOVED IT!!"
