Cottage

This is a charming, well appointed fully self contained cottage. It has two bedrooms, a queen bed in the first bedroom, 2 single beds in the second and a double sofa bed in the living room, sleeping 6 people. All your household linen is provided.

The living room has a fireplace, ceiling fans and air conditioning. There is a TV, DVD player and VCR, as well as a CD player. The kitchen has a full sized stove and fridge, microwave and there is a gas BBQ on the veranda. You will only need to bring food (breakfast on the first morning is provided) and personal effects.

Verandas wrap around the cottage, and are sun-drenched throughout the day in winter. The expansive and spectacular mountain and valley views have to be seen to be appreciated. A large lawn surrounds the cottage, home to many different birds and animals, and is a perfect playground for active children.

Most pets are welcome, but please confirm with me first.

Locality

The cottage is 4 kms (a 5 minute drive) west of Bellingen, on the road to Dorrigo. It is situated on top of a hill, half a kilometre from the road. It is completely private - the nearest house is my own, 400m away. It's less than half an hour to the Dorrigo rainforest, twenty minutes to surf beaches at Hungry Head or pristine river swimming holes.

Property

The property is 120 acres, and is an alpaca stud farm. Cria (baby alpacas) are born in spring and autumn and the alpacas are fed daily. It's very safe for children, as there is no river frontage, and the large dam (great to picnic beside) is some distance from the cottage. Besides, alpacas are the gentlest of farm animals!

There are also 2 dogs, a deer and more than 200 chooks to provide breakfast eggs and entertainment.

Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

Most dogs are permitted, provided owners clean up after them and are kept under control whilst outside. Cats are permitted, but must be kept inside due to the amount of birdlife and wildlife generally on the property.
