Holiday house

Chinaman Creek House offers affordable accommodation 7kms from Castlemaine
and 10kms from Maldon in Central Victoria.
The house is completely self-contained (including linen) and can accommodate up to 8 people.
The house is a large split-level sustainable mudbrick building. It has polished floorboards and tile floors throughout and lots of light.
There are four bedrooms, two with double beds and two with single bunks
The house has a fully equiped kitchen with fridge and stove; a bathroom with toilet and shower and several paved verandahs and patios.

Electricity is provided by solar electricity
The water is supplied by rainwater tanks and the
hot water is heated by a solar water panel
and by the wood stove.
A firewood plantation has recently been established to provide wood for future heating.
A long stretch of Chinaman's Creek runs through the 50 acre property. The creek was cleared of blackberries more than five years ago and replanted with indigenous plants. With all the re-vegetation work a huge variety of native animals and birds have gradually returned.
