Bed & Breakfast

At "The Gums" you will enjoy the peace and tranquillity. It's so relaxing and peaceful that you may be reluctant to leave. The beautiful garden setting offers many nooks and crannies in which to just sit and enjoy and take time out. If you're a bird lover then the many feathered visitors to the garden will give you hours of pleasure.
However, if you want to explore Adelaide city and the surrounding area, "The Gums" is ideally situated for visiting the beaches or the hills or the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Peninsula. At the end of the day, come back to a friendly welcome, a nice hot cuppa and some chocolate to die for. The sumptuous breakfast in the morning will top off your stay and you can continue your journey feeling relaxed and revived and ready to take on the world with renewed vigour.

Close to Belair National Park, Wittunga Botanic Garden and part of the Sturt River Linear Park.
Easy access to the city by bus or train from Blackwood Station (transport to and from the station is provided). Several golf courses in the area (Belair, Blackwood and Flagstaff Hill) as well as wineries mostly located in the McLaren Vale area. Not far from the spectacular views of Adelaide from Windy Point. Half an hour from Brighton Beach.
Close to neighbouring suburbs of Flagstaff Hill, Aberfoyle Park, Belair, Blackwood, Eden Hills, Happy Valley and Hawthorndene.

For nature lovers, "The Gums" has abundant birdlife and a mixture of native trees and shrubs and exotics. Plenty of seating dotted around the garden just to relax and enjoy. The Weinstadl Restaurant and Duck Inn are close handy and there are plenty of eating places in Blackwood and Belair.
Produce from the garden is also included in the breakfast when in season.
