Tucked away in the gorgeous countryside of Deep Creek the cottage provides an ideal getaway - relaxing and secluded. For the adventurers, Blowhole Beach is only 3km away by 4WD or foot. Take pleasure in the stunning scenery and walks of Deep Creek Conservation Park

This uniquely designed 3 bedroom home includes a mezzanine floor, the perfect escape for some quiet reading time. The ground level is open plan with a well equipped kitchen, dining, breakfast and lounge areas. The thick earth walls and high roof help to maintain a comfortable temperature, but when the extremes occur the building is cooled by reverse cycle air-conditioning or warmed by an efficient wood burning heater.

Locality

The Fleurieu Peninsula region of South Australia is home to a wide range of attractions from premier food and wines to remote and rugged coast line. Accessible picnic areas and safe beaches make this area ideal for the family holiday whilst the more adventurous can enjoy top class bushwalking, diving and fishing activities.

Number 3 is located just minutes from Blowhole Creek Beach and the start of the Heysen Trail as well as being adjacent to Deep Creek Conservation Park. You are only 15 minutes from Cape Jervis and the Kangaroo Island ferry. A day trip to the island is a great treat.

Property

One of the most ancient of construction methods, rammed earth or “pise” creates homes with wonderful ambience and Number 3 is no exception. The minute you step inside you will be struck by the relaxing nature of the house. There are plenty of places to sit and relax along with a well-stocked video and book library.
Step outside again into the rambling and rundown, but still marvellous, old formal garden and spend time exploring its many nooks and crannies. Depending on the time of year you may come across a wide range of fruit and wild herbs.
Kangaroos and a wide range of birds are regular visitors to the grounds. The property has gorgeous rural and ocean views across to Kangaroo Island.
The wrap around verandahs provide ample places for a sheltered outdoor barbecue and evening meal.

The property is located 2.2 kilometres from beautiful Blowhole Creek Beach (walking or 4 wheel drive access).There are numerous beaches in the area ranging from lovely safe paddling at Second Valley to ocean surfing at Waitpinga.These beaches will require short drives to access.

Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside.

Please ensure that pets which do come inside do not climb on the furnishings.If your pet is prone to chasing animals please be aware that there is a resident population of kangaroos and other wildlife on the property.Dog bedding is not provided.
