"The Lakeside property far exceeded expectations. It is the cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed at both in Australia and overseas. We travelled with our much loved dog and when this business says pet friendly, they really mean what they say. The property is maintained inside and out to the highest standard, fully fenced, very spacious, well appointed, quite location and the owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. "Great location which was perfect for our two dogs with a fully fenced back yard. Property is well maintained, appropriately furnished and comfortable. The guest guide was great for anyone who doesn't know the Smiths Lake area and one of the recommended lake locations resulted in some large whiting for dinner."

"The Lakeside cottage was very comfortable and we really appreciated the cumfy bed, and lovely big couches to curl up and read a book on. Also we found the sun room a lovely spot to put Boo's bed, so everyone was happy. The fully fenced backyard was terrific, particularly as Boo is a rescued German Shepherd who we had only had for 4 weeks and we were still getting used to each other. I have already passed on information to a friend and will pass on to other friends with much loved dogs.

"The accommodation at Lakeside was great - the house was clean and homely and had lots of character. The backyard was fantastic, which my dog Wilson had a ball in the whole stay. The BBQ and outdoor eating area was great and the herb and vegie garden (which you can use)was a really nice touch.

Lakeside is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it either for a short stay of a couple of nights or a longer stay.

The value of the stay was fantastic regarding value for money and the overall experience was really relaxing and comfortable. The beaches and off leash areas for dogs are only a 5 minute drive away, or there's the Reserve you can walk to from the house."

"Great value for money, great outlook to the rainforest, quiet location, our dogs loved the yard and the lake down the road. My husband caught a huge flathead in the Smiths Lake, wading out just at the end of the street with the kids. Plenty of spots to take the boat and fish or have a picnic lunch on the beach or lake. Miles of quiet beaches for us and the dogs to enjoy. The house was also extremely clean, cosy and welcoming. Sally"

Our stay at lakeside was far greater then we expected. Accommodation would be AAAA plus, Cindy and Chris are great people to talk with, friendly and kind, plus they respected your privacy. The house is larger then it looks on the net, cleaner then a motel with more amenities this list just goes on. I highly recommend a stay there forever one. Again many thanks for the great stay we had Kevin Pattison.Nearly for got for great fishing go to near by Sandbar I landed a 3kg flat head plus many more fish were court cheers:))

"We really enjoyed our stay. The back yard was a good size & very secure for our dog Roxie to roam & play.
The house is very comfortable with all that's needed for a relaxed get away, nice out look with the rainforest & all the beautiful native birds a real bonus, (you can spend hours just sitting & watching them)
We enjoyed using the "Produce" from the herb & vegetable garden. We will definitely be back again. "

""Lakeside" was absolutely ideal for our family of 3 kids under 7 and 2 dogs. The backyard was the most secure we've seen in our travels and we could even lock them all in! The lake is just a short 2 minute stroll from the house which is in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac of 4 houses so the kids could play on the front lawn and ride on the street. The most beautiful beaches are nearby so we were never short of things to do. The movies in Tuncurry and shops in Forster were only a 20 minute drive for a good day out. The house is so neat and clean and very bright and happy feeling. Great spot, we'll be back again next year, thanks Cindy."

"Thanks Cindy for such a wonderful and relaxing stay at Lakeside, you really do have a great spot so close to the lake which our 2 dogs loved swimming in each day even though it's winter! The yard was great and a really high fence meant we had nothing to worry about when we went into town without the dogs. The bowling club was great for dinner and we didn't have to drive so that was even better. The house is so clean and tidy and has a real holiday feel to it, we'll be back soon!"
