Cottage

This self contained workers cottage has been fully renovated with modern heating and cooling, as well as a slow combustion fireplace. Original pressed metal ceilings have been retained. The spacious yard is fully fenced, with room for pets. From the rear yard you can walk to the bottom of the paddock which backs on to the Kermandie River. It is an ideal base for visitors interested in bushwalking and fishing. Mabel's is conveniently located if you want to get to the Tahune Airwalk early, but wish to stay in town.

Local attractions

There are local historical displaysthroughout the town,including models of early settlement activities in the Forest and Heritage Centre upstairs gallery. See the platypus in the Kermandie River from the platypus viewing platform.

This is the place to stay if you are looking for somewhere comfortable and convenient while you explore the attractions of the lower Huon Valley.

Located within Geeveston township, a three minute walk from the Tassie Link bus stop. Information on bus times available online, and by request. Several daily services weekdays, once daily service on weekends.

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Food and water bowls provided.

We have two yard areas where your pet can be safe. In the rear yard laundry there is a doggy door, should you wish to leave your dog outside, but under cover.
