Cottage, Holiday house

Award winning Sidney's Retreat invites you to experience and indulge yourself in a uniquely private, luxurious Blue Mountains self-catering escape. At Sidney's Retreat, we believe our guest's privacy is the most important consideration. This is achieved by providing an intimate, peaceful environment without disturbances from the outside world. There is no intrusive on-site management although, if required, assistance is only a phone call away. Not only are the guests treated to a private, relaxing escape, but if they so desire, they are only a few minutes stroll from the cafe society of Katoomba Street and moments from a trek into a world heritage wilderness area.

The cottage itself is an imaginatively restored, turn of the century miner's
cottage, circa 1907. Through floor to ceiling picture windows guests enjoy
magnificent views towards Leura.

Locality

Sidney's Retreat is perfectly positioned for our guests to experience everything the amazing world heritage region of the Blue Mountains has to offer or to simply indulge in the total privacy, peace and uninterrupted seclusion of a luxurious mountain retreat.
We are conveniently located 2 minutes walk to the main st of Katoomba and 15 min down Lurline St to the Three Sisters. The train station is about 5 min walk. The greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Region covers more than 1,000,000 hectares of some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. This ancient sandstone plateua with it`s deep gorges, dense forests, hanging swamps and sheer cliffs has walking trails to suit everyone.

The two queen bedrooms with handcrafted beds are adorned with quality linen. The large spacious bathroom with antique clawfoot bath and fluffy towels. An open plan lounge, dining and country kitchen, perfect for those cosy winter days or wander onto the balcony for your summer bbq with views to Leura and the Katoomba Valley.

If you feel like exploring the eclectic pleasures of Katoomba, a minutes stroll through the Church Lane will take you into the historic town`s main centre.

Katoomba's main street is a minutes stroll through the church laneway opposite Sidney's Retreat, a selection of fine restaurants and cafes are here for your dining pleasure.
