Locality

Three hours scenic drive south of Sydney, closer from the Illawarra and Southern Highland regions and 2.5 hours from Canberra. Milton is the perfect setting to explore the South Coast's many attractions. With its magnificent views of the sea to the east and the mountains to the west, the Milton district offers a variety of activities such as bush walking in nearby National Parks. Close to beautiful surf beaches and coastline walks, lakes and rivers. Aquatic activities include canoeing, kayaking, diving and snorkeling. Fishing, dolphin and whale watching tours are available.Other activities include golfing, horse riding and cycling. Close to the vineyards and wineries of the Shoalhaven Coast.

Located in the heart of Milton, it is a short walk to cafes, art galleries, antique and collectibles, gift and home wares, clothing shops and local monthly craft markets.The Milton Theatre offers a great venue for local and overseas artists. Milton has been classified by the National Trust in 1985 as an historical village. It typifies rural settlement with many buildings dating back to 1860 such as the Milton Courthouse and library.
