Cottage, Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

Built in the late 1800's, with all the character and charm of that era, the Cosy Nook is situated in the heart of Moonta. You are within walking distance of shops, hotels and coffee shops. It's a short drive to safe, picturesque beaches.
Cosy Nook offers self contained heritage accommodation or you can take advantage of our breakfast packages. We have set the cottage up to meet the standards we would expect when we go away on holidays and so have provided good quality linen and fittings for your comfort and enjoyment.
Every room has a ceiling fan.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a separate dining room.
There is a reverse cycle air conditioner in the lounge/living area with DVD and television. There is also a lounge designed just for children. The B-B-Que and alfresco area in the cottage garden is a great place to relax. The cottage is child and pet friendly with enclosed back yard and secure under cover parking.
Washing machine and drier provided.
The Cosy Nook has it all - even a 100 year old fig tree.

Locality

Over the time of your stay you can enjoy some of our local treasures such as the Moonta Mines Museum, Miner’s Cottage,tourist train, Wheal Hughes Underground Mine Tour or you may choose to stroll along the streets of our beautiful township and browse through the many shops.
The old Moonta Railway Station is the tourist information office and can supply you with many attractions to visit.
It is a short walk/drive to reach the beautiful foreshore of Moonta Bay and Pt Hugheswhere the beaches are safe for swimming. The variety of beaches and the jetties offer many activities for all. The boat ramp is located 3km away at Pt Hughes.

Property

The Cosy Nook was built in the late 1800's and was originally a shop Today it is a lovely cottage that gives you a welcoming hug as you enter the front door! The name has originated from the fact that there are so many surprises as you explore the cottage. There are "nooks" and hidden treasures everywhere. The backyard is a great place to kick back and relax. The jacaranda trees keep the yard shaded and there is a fig tree in the back corner that would be nearly as old as the cottage itself, it's hollow trunk a 'must see'! Enjoy the alfresco area.
