Waverley Cottage is a unique example of colonial architecture. Built in 1854 it resembles "the little house on the prairey", with 2 separate steep spiral staircases up to attic bedrooms. It has been offering bed and breakfast accommodation since 1978 making it a leader in the field throughout the nation. It is ideal for either families or for a quiet romantic get-away. The lounge room boasts a large open fire making it cosy for the winter nights.

Everything required for bed and breakfast is included in the tariff.

Its not just accommodation but a living experience, exclusively yours!

Locality

As the cottage is located just out of Oatlands it is superb for its privacy and quietness. Oatlands is a small Geogian rural village renowned for its history. It is a very self-contained village with all amenities that the visitor may require, from health to happiness! There is a supermarket open 7 days a week, golf, course nearby, 3 churches, chemist, bank,post office, 2 hotels and bottleshops, restaurants, tea-rooms,antique shops, a hospital that is accessible 24 hours, the best rural doctor in the world is here also.

A short drive to Interlaken is not only enjoyable but leads to fishing experiences. Oatlands is just half way between Hobart and Launceston, with about 1 hours travelling either way, and its not much more to the east coast or central highlands.
