Cottage

This beachside property is situated 30mins from hobart central. Located on the secluded Glenvar beach, not known by many locals, safe and quiet, children friendly. Easy access to beach and rocks. Fully self contained with all kitchen appliances; fridge, freezer, slow cooker, food processor and microwave. Inbuilt woodheater with wood provided. Plenty of parking space, with up to 8 car parking, also suitable for tents and camping equipment ect. Three bedrooms, two with double beds and 1 with bunks and a sofa bed located in the main lounge (electric blankets on bunks and one of the double beds, and a hot water bottle if needed). Bathroom has shower only with seperate toliet. Towels, linen and hairdryer provided. Kayak, fishing rods are available in the shed located on site. You can fish off the rocks just in front of the property or on the beach. Jetty is located only a 5 minute walk for those who have a boat. Outdoor bbq is avaliable with gas provided.This is a unique waterfront property and only a short stroll to the well known O'possum Bay beach, where a local shop is also located. A pontoon is accessible on the beach in the summer. Puzzles, dvd's, board games, Play Station 2 (with sing star) and cards provided at the cottage. A stereo with iPod dock also available.

We watched the Sydney to Hobart yacht race from the kitchen window and enjoyed fishing from the rocks. This is the perfect place to visit any time of the year.

Locality

O'Possum Bay is a 30 mintute drive from the city centre of Hobart or 15 minutes from the Hobart Airport. The nearest shopping centre is located in Howrah for your grocery needs approximatley a 20 mintue drive from the cottage, however the local O'Possum Bay store supplies the basic necessities including gas and petrol. Great fish and chips can be bought from the store. There is an RSL, pizza shop, cafe and chemist located in South Arm, just a 5 minute drive away.
