At Waitomo (30 minute drive) there are amazing action-packed adventures like blackwater rafting and cave abseiling (rappelling) plus magical glowworm cave eco-tours. There's also trout fishing, golf, farm and garden tours , scenic nature walks and the Otorohanga Kiwi House & Native Bird Park.
