Holiday house


Situated in the exclusive Wharf Street precinct, 7 Wharf Street is one of Port Douglas' most sought after properties. Designed by architect Alex Gencur, this pavilion style home is like no other found in Far North Queensland.

With an uninterrupted 180 degree view across the Coral Sea, towards Low Isles, Snapper Island and the Daintree Rainforest Mountains, the house is designed to nestle in to its rainforest hillslope location.

The home is made up of three pavilions connected by walkways, with louvers and sheltered verandahs to allow in the warm sea breeze and spectacular views.

A gated and private walled entrance takes you through the lush landscaped tropical gardens to the main, split level, living pavilion. A chef's kitchen is well equipped and comes with an extra cool room and refrigeration for entertainers and gourmands. Up the curved staircase, the elegant mezzanine level leads you to the dining room. An elegant and well designed room seating eight, the dining area overlooks the garden and pool, out to the Coral Sea.

A further curved staircase leads down to the living area with lounge and state of the art entertainment system. With tropical living in mind, bifold doors open to a large decked pool area properly equipped with sun lounges and BBQ. And rest assured, the 15 metre aquamarine saltwater pool has glass fencing, to ensure uninterrupted Coral Sea views.

The second pavilion holds a master suite which is one of the most exclusive in Port Douglas, taking best advantage of the incredible views, but with all of the modern luxuries including a wet shower ensuite and walk in robe. Downstairs there is a second living area, with enormous wrap around verandah and further entertainment system.

The final pavilion is located towards the front of the property, with three bedrooms, one with ensuite and the other family bathroom includes a traditional roll top bath.

OMG! From the moment we had secured our reservation with the Boutique, my husband and family were soo looking forward to this holiday, but when we got there we were absolutely blown away. This property was incredible. We arrived as the sun was setting, and there was an orange, pink glow out over the water and filtered through the palm trees, this was everything that we wanted. We spent 7 days swimming in the pool and beach, enjoying the cafes and restaurants on Macrossan street. Thank you so much :)
