The Cape Nelson Lighthouse precinct houses the lighthouse that has prevented shipwrecks off the Southern tip of the Cape since the 1800's
The lighthouse is open for tours every day and a small gourmet cafe provides morning and afternoon teas as well as lunches every day.
Accommodation is available in the newly restored lighthouse keeper's cottages. The cottages are luxuriously appointed and can each house up to 2 couples.

the Cape is rich in bird life; the Portland gannet colony is nearby and gannets constantly fly overhead. there are additional birdwatching sites around the area including the Fawthrop Lagoon in Portland which is 10 minutes drive from the lighthouse

The site houses the cafe "Isabella's" which serves gourmet morning and afternoon tea. and lunches every day. On weekends the cafe also opens for breakfast. Meals will be provided at extra cost for guests who stay at the cottages. A fully cooked breakfast including free range eggs, bacon, toast cereal and spreads is provided for guests.
