The unit has brochure information on Swan Bay and its bird life and the Bellarine Tourist Information Centre, located in Hesse Street, is a short distance from the unit. The Marine Discovery Centre, which is located on the highway, has detailed descriptions of local bird and aquatic life and also has a hide overlooking Swan Bay.

Queenscliff is popular for fishing and the waterfront is approx a 10-12mins walk from the unit. A short walk from the unit in Hesse Street are The Salt and Seaview Galleries where wonderful art works are on display and great exhibitions are held frequently.
