Bed & Breakfast, Farm stays

21 acres of beautiful paddocks with dedicated gardens and lawns, this wonderfully hosted bed and breakfast offers you safe and secure accommodation. Choose from a traditional cooked breakfast with red-gum smoked bacon from the Balhannah Junction butcher, grilled fresh tomato, pork sausage, grilled or sauted mushrooms and eggs from our own hens or choose continental with hand-crafted home-made croissants, fresh fruit and preserves and Nick's home-made bread, yogurt, local milk and juice. Traditionally-made porridge (not the microwave stuff!) or pancakes can also be chosen and if you want a new-laid boiled egg with soldiers, that is on the menu too! We know where our food comes from and it's all local !! There are two rooms, the Oak Room with its wonderful European king bed, and the Garden Room which has either two large single beds, or can be converted into a super-king - it's your choice ! Both en-suite wetrooms with underfloor heating.

Locality

Central Adelaide Hills with view over the Forest Range towards Mount Lofty. Situated within all the major wineries, ie Nepenthe, Bird-in-Hand, Shaw and Smith, Goldings and more ... We are also well situated for access to the Amy Gillett Bikeway from Oakbank to Charleston (12 kms) and with a planned extension to Mount Torrens and then Mount Pleasant in the future. The Oakbank Races are also close to Woodside as is the Lobethal Lights and Carnival.

Property

Tiers View B&B is a beautiful lodge set into an escarpment overlooking the Onkapinga and Western Branch creeks with massive view and huge sky. Our property is away from any busy roads and we are lucky to see two vehicles an hour pass by ! The view north looks down onto the front paddocks with two farm dams, past the creek and up towards the Ranges. To the South side, there is a delightful lawns of 2 acres with gardens (English and native). Our gardens are irrigated by our brown water recycling and the farm dams. The paddocks are walkable (with care in summer) and our breeding flock of White Suffolks will be pleased to see you as will the chooks. The two-acre pine forest has some beautiful yellow-tailed cockatoos which fly in to feast on the fircones. We burn our own timber on our woodburners, so in winter the guest sitting room is always warm and cosy with the addition of underfloor heating. We are now generating our own electricity with the use of photovoltaic panels on the roof.
